FAQ

What are 6.8-inch scissors used for?

For cutting long perimeters, large sections and fades with fewer cuts. They come close to the reach of a 7″ while staying lighter and easier to handle.

Why does my bob end up with steps?

Often because the scissors are too short for the section: it takes many closes and the line can shift each time. A long blade reduces this.

What is the difference between 440C and VG10 steel?

440C is a very hard stainless steel, reliable and easy to maintain – ideal for everyday salon use. VG10 is a finer-grained Japanese steel: it holds an even thinner, longer-lasting edge, ideal for advanced techniques such as slide and slice cutting.

How do I adjust the scissor tension?

With the micrometric adjustment you only need to turn the screw a few clicks: open the scissors to 90° and let the free blade drop – it should close about two thirds of the way. The ball bearing keeps the setting stable over time.
