Hairdressing Scissor Sharpening and Maintenance
The TOUCH sharpening service restores a clean edge to your hairdressing and barber scissors while keeping the original blade geometry. We work on convex, very flat and toothed blades, and we check alignment and adjustment before returning them.
Two options
- Sharpening: the edge is restored along the full length of the blade.
- Sharpening + full maintenance: cleaning, lubrication, tension adjustment and replacement of worn parts (stoppers, rubbers, washers).

How much does it cost to sharpen hairdressing scissors?
At TOUCH, sharpening costs €69; with full maintenance (cleaning, lubrication, adjustment and replacement of stopper, bumpers and washers) it costs €89. If the ball bearing needs replacing, add €30. From outside Italy, please contact us before ordering; from Switzerland there is a €20 contribution towards return shipping.
Do you also sharpen other brands, thinning shears or curved scissors?
Yes. We sharpen hairdressing and barber scissors of every brand, including thinning and texturizing shears and curved-blade scissors. Each pair is worked on while respecting the original blade geometry.
How long does it take?
Usually 7–10 working days from when we receive the scissors, plus the time for return shipping.
How do I send the scissors?
After you order, we send you instructions for shipping the scissors. From Italy, insured shipping both ways is arranged by TOUCH; from other countries, please contact us first so we can plan the shipping together.
How often should hairdressing scissors be sharpened?
It depends on how much you use them and on your cutting technique. When the scissors start to push, fold or pull the hair, it is time for professional sharpening.
