Why double teeth
There are teeth on both blades: each close removes a little hair, evenly spread. That is what sets texturizing shears apart from classic thinning shears, which remove a lot of bulk at once and can mark the transitions.

What is the difference between single-tooth and double-tooth shears?
On single-tooth shears one blade is smooth and one is toothed; on double-tooth shears both blades are toothed. Double teeth cut in a more diffused, softer way – ideal for blending and transitions.
How much hair does the Suprema remove?
About 15% per pass: progressive lightening that does not create holes.
Thinning or texturizing shears?
Thinning shears reduce bulk on thick hair; double-tooth texturizing shears soften and blend layers. Many professionals use both.
What is the difference between 440C and VG10 steel?
440C is a very hard stainless steel, reliable and easy to maintain – ideal for everyday salon use. VG10 is a finer-grained Japanese steel: it holds an even thinner, longer-lasting edge, ideal for advanced techniques such as slide and slice cutting.
