Where do you use 30-tooth thinning shears?
Inside the sections, through the mid-lengths, to remove weight without shortening. Avoid using them close to the root on fine hair, where they can create unruly tufts.
Can I blend layers with thinning shears?
You can, but they remove a lot of hair with each close and may leave marks. For soft blending, double-tooth texturizing shears are a better fit.
How do I adjust the scissor tension?
With the micrometric adjustment you only need to turn the screw a few clicks: open the scissors to 90° and let the free blade drop – it should close about two thirds of the way. The ball bearing keeps the setting stable over time.
